Mobile Speech Pathology in Melbourne's North, that's right for you and your child.
Early Intervention for children 0-9
Hi, I'm Emma Jordan-Rooney!

I'm a paediatric Speech Pathologist in Reservoir.
I completed my Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the Australian Catholic University in 2018. Before starting my own private practice, I worked in mainstream schools, special developmental schools, and in the community, where I found my passion for working with children and their families in their homes and community settings like childcare, Kinder, and school.
I have mild cerebral palsy affecting my right arm and right leg (this doesn't affect the work that I do professionally - you might just notice I primarily use my left hand). As an adult with a lived experience of disability, I'm familiar with the challenges parents with children of developmental delays and disabilities face.
My Approach
When it comes to Speech Pathology practice, I'm passionate about looking at the big picture: considering your child and their needs across all of their environments (at home, childcare, kinder or school), as well as your situation as a parent or carer.
I believe that the biggest change happens when the people involved in your child's life (parents/carers, therapists and educators) work together. I'll work not just with your child but with you, and with anyone else involved in your child's life, to help your child achieve their communication goals.
I advocate for the best for families, whether this means helping you navigate the NDIS, supporting you to decide upon the best option for school enrolment for your child, or helping you link in with other supports in your community.
